Is Coaching Bullsh*t? Let’s Talk.

Let’s be honest - if anyone was going to call coaching out as nonsense, it’d be me.

I’m Scottish. I’m working class. I’m neurodivergent.
I like things that are real, practical, and actually helpful.

So yeah, I get why people side-eye the word coaching sometimes.
You might wonder:

  • “Is this just a fancy word for chatting?”

  • “Isn’t that what friends are for?”

  • “Is this going to be all ‘positive vibes only’?”

Here’s the truth:
Some coaching doesn’t land.
But good coaching?
It gives you the kind of clarity and momentum that’s hard to find on your own.

🌿 So… What Is Coaching, Actually?

It’s not therapy.
It’s not mentoring.
It’s not a five-step plan to ‘fix’ your life.

It’s a conversation - but not the kind you have over wine with a pal (as valuable as that is).

It’s a space where:

  • Someone actually listens - without jumping in with their own stories.

  • You get asked the right questions - the ones that cut through the noise.

  • You figure out what you want, what’s getting in the way, and how to move forward (without selling your soul to hustle culture).

No gimmicks. No guru vibes. No pretending everything’s fine when it’s not.

✨ Who Is Coaching For?

It’s for people who:

  • Feel stuck, overwhelmed, or tangled up in ideas.

  • Know they want something different, but can’t see the next step clearly.

  • Want support that’s on their side, but not here to sugar-coat things.

It’s for people like me.
And probably, people like you.

💬 Here’s The Deal

If you’re skeptical - good.
You can be!
There’s too much nonsense out there pretending to be help.

But if you’re curious?
If you’re thinking “Okay… maybe this could actually make a difference” - I’ve got you.

Start small if you like:
👉 Grab a free copy of WHAT TO DO NEXT: The Creative Reorientation Handbook and see if it sparks anything.
Or, when you’re ready for an actual conversation - book a WHAT TO DO NEXT Session.

I’ll never promise magic solutions.
But I will promise that I’ll show up, ask the right questions, and hold space for you to figure things out - in your own way.

Allison ✨
