Gentle Productivity for Neurodivergent Creatives

(Because house cats aren’t productive - and they’re living their best lives.)

Let’s get something straight:
You don’t exist to be productive.
You’re not a machine. You’re not a planner template.
You’re a creative, multi-passionate human with a nervous system that wasn’t designed for hustle culture.

So, if you’ve been beating yourself up for not sticking to some rigid routine or wondering why “normal” productivity tips make you want to cry in a blanket fort - welcome. You’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

Here’s what I’ve learned (the hard way):

🌿 Gentle Productivity Isn’t About Doing More - It’s About Doing What Works For You

This week, I had one of those good weeks.
Not because I got everything done (spoiler: I didn’t).
But because I worked with my energy, not against it.

I was in a space that feels like mine.
I had easy morning and evening routines.
I knew what I wanted from each day - but I let momentum build naturally.
And most importantly? I wasn’t exhausted by the end of it.

That’s gentle productivity.
Not pushing. Not punishing.
Just moving through the day in a way that leaves enough of you left to enjoy your evening.

✨ A Few Things That Actually Help (No Ice Baths Required)

Because seriously… why are we abusing ourselves in the name of "success"? 😂

Here’s what works for me - and what I share with my clients:

1. Check If It’s a ‘Should’ or If It’s Aligned
When you feel stuck, ask: “Do I even want to do this?”
If it’s a should, question it. If it’s aligned, simplify it.

2. Log What You’re Doing To Bring Yourself Back
When overwhelm hits, I start writing down tiny actions.
It pulls me out of the fog and into the present moment - no judgment, just awareness.

3. Movement Before Meltdown
When I stop being able to process language (yep, that’s my sign), I get up.
Tidy something. Move around. Shift the energy before my system goes offline.

4. Design Your Environment For Your Energy
My workspace feels like me - decorated to support my vibe, not drain it.
That alone makes showing up easier.

5. Success = Getting Things Done and Enjoying Your Evening
If you’ve ticked things off but you’re too wrecked to enjoy life after? That’s not it.
Gentle productivity leaves space for pleasure, rest, and Netflix marathons.

🐾 Final Thought: Be More Cat

House cats aren’t productive.
They nap. They play. They vibe.
And yet, they’re adored, cared for, and living their best little lives.

You don’t have to earn your worth through output.
You deserve softness, even on days when you "do nothing."

But if you do want support figuring out how to move forward gently - without burning out or betraying your system - I’m here:
